Mayfair is an upscale hub of swish restaurants serving Instagram-worthy gourmet cuisine, high-end designer boutiques, and iconic red brick mansions, and five-star hotels. In 2016, Studio Hinton took on a a Mayfair furnishing project for a business couple‘s rental apartment who have offices in various parts of the world. The apartment is their little London pied-à-terre, located on a Mayfair road which is part residential and part commercial and an ideal spot for out of towners, coming and going regularly and wanting a centrally situated apartment. They wanted something that was conveniently located, so they could walk to the office, to the restaurant, the pub as well as to run all their errands and see their friends. They were tired of always going to the hotel and wanted to feel like they could travel with a
handbag and arrive home when they needed to be in London. As such the goal was to turn this rental apartment into a cozy and welcoming home away from home. The scope of the project was not overly extensive, and the clients mostly wanted help with the front of the house, but the key element of the project was that it needed to be done very fast. Studio Hinton quickly pinpointed the requirements and the desired style and feel of the home, a selection was made, decisions were taken, and the project was fully installed in three months. The result is a combination of high-end and high-street furniture with lighting pieces that produce a warm and welcoming home. The couple view it as a perfect place for relaxing between business meetings and flights as well as an ideal venue for entertaining friends when time allows.
