Electrical Planning

A beautiful interior begins long before any finishes are chosen. Electrical planning is one of the most consequential decisions made during a project, and one of the most difficult to change once a build is underway. Getting it right from the start protects both the design and the budget.

Our electrical planning service is a technical discipline, distinct from decorative lighting selection. Working from architectural drawings, we produce detailed electrical schematics that map every socket, switch, circuit, data point and lighting position across the home. These drawings are coordinated directly with your electrician or contractor, ensuring the infrastructure is in place before walls are closed and floors are laid.

This stage of the process requires us to think carefully about how each room will function in practice. Where will devices be charged? Where should switches be positioned for intuitive use? Which walls will carry art, and therefore cannot carry sockets? How should smart home systems, audio visual equipment and home automation be integrated into the electrical layout without compromising the interior?

We plan for flexibility as well as immediate need. A well-designed electrical scheme anticipates future use, building in capacity for additional circuits, future lighting adjustments or technology upgrades without requiring costly remedial work later.

Electrical planning is one of those services that, when done well, leaves no trace. The room looks exactly as intended, everything works exactly as expected, and none of the technical groundwork is ever visible. That invisibility is the measure of its success.
